English hop developed from Northern Brewer, with genetics traits derived from Northdown and Target. Challenger. It is characterized by medium alphas content and pleasent aroma qualities, smooth flavor and nicely spicy.
It exhibits citron, green tea and sweet floreal notes, late fruit flavor come though at the end.
This variety is sought-after for both the smooth bitterness and the fresh, pleasent aroma. Mainly used for bittering but well suited for dry hopping as well.
